The Franciscan Way of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George is the road that St. Francis followed: in the footsteps of Jesus Christ and in the spirit of our foundress, Mother M. Anselma.

More than I can imagine
To be receiving the habit and veil, along with my new name, means more to me than words can express. To become a Sister is more than just simply wearing new clothes and changing my name. It is to become who God has created me to be. Finding words to describe how excited and happy I am is harder than finding a needle in a haystack in the dark, so I will leave it at this: God has given me far more than I could ever even imagine asking for and I cannot wait to take this next step in the lifelong process of giving my life to Him.

August 2 and 3 brought great joy to our community as we welcomed three new novices, celebrated the first profession of four sisters and the final profession of six sisters. While the number of people gathered in St. Mary's Church was certainly smaller than we would have liked, we were blessed by thousands who joined the livestreams to join us in giving thanks to God for the gifts of our sisters.
