St. Francis, our spiritual father, heard Jesus Christ say to him, as he knelt before the Crucifix in the chapel of San Damiano: "Go, rebuild My Church, which you see is falling down." As Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George, Jesus calls us to do the same. He has blessed us with a spirituality, rooted in the Scripture passage: "They shall look on Him whom they have pierced" - John 19:37. Like St. Francis, we kneel before our Crucified Lord and look upon His pierced side, an opening into the heavenly reality of God's overwhelming and unconditional love for us. We seek to be coworkers in Christ's "project" of rebuilding the Church through the charism, or special gift, He willed to our community: to make visible His merciful love in our service. If you are interested in knowing more about our "1 Franciscan Way," email Sister M. Beata, our vocation director. She'll do whatever she can to help you know if our way is your way!

Just Around the Corner

We inaugurate our community blog with a picture that speaks louder than a thousand words. These are our young Sisters who, on August 15, will take the next step in their religious life! Eight will make their Final Profession of the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. Two novices will pronounce their vows and become Brides of Christ! And our two postulants will receive the habit and veil and their new religious names and they will begin their novitiate! We thank God for the gift they are to our Province! Please keep them in your prayers!
