Marching for Life

(Sister M. Teresa is second from the right in the front row.) This year 24 of our Sisters attended the March for Life in Washington, D.C. These Sisters’ travels ranged from 30 minutes by metro within DC to 24 hours on a bus to get to DC. Here is a reflection from Sister M. Teresa: This was the fifth year that I have traveled to Washington, D.C. for the March for Life. I have to commend the Office of Youth Ministry from the Archdiocese of St. Louis for the opportunity they give to the youth on this pilgrimage to encounter Christ. As a religious Sister, it has been a privilege to journey each year with these young people. During our days in DC, the teens are rooted in Christ through daily Mass, as well as times of Adoration and Confession. These encounters with Christ in the Sacraments allow the teens to recognize their own dignity and worth that comes from our God who loves us unconditionally. Jesus’ words resonated with me throughout our trip, “…I came so that they might have life
