So often in looking at our life, we look at the youngest among us - and that is a good thing. There is joy and energy, the excitement of the new beginning. That is the time nearest to those who are considering the life for the first time; those who are discerning God's call in their lives.
But it is also a very good thing to look at those who have been around the block a few times. There is wisdom there, and light, and a joy that is deeper because it has been lived long term.
Those who have given their lives to the community...
Those who have served in hidden ways...
Those who have guided us for years...
Those who have loved much...

This is lovely.
How old is your oldest/youngest Sister by age, by Community?
Are there any original founding Sisters still in your US community from Germany?
At what point in your religious life do you "retire?"
One of your sisters recently posted about the death of one of your Sisters saying she passed in the infirmary. Do you have a large group of infirm Sisters? I read somewhere they are the hidden saints.
Do your missionary Sisters always return to the Motherhouse or do they remain in the missions?
Do you still have Sisters who have come from other countries to serve the US territories? Do they return to their country of origin in retirement?
The Sisters faces are so peaceful and happy...a life lived in love no doubt!
Thanks for sharing!
